Are you insured and bonded?
Yes. When you invite our team into your home, you’re welcoming in licensed, bonded, and insured professionals. We understand the trust you place in us, and we take it seriously. Each member of our team is thoroughly trained, trustworthy, courteous, and compassionate. You can rely on us to handle the situation with discretion, empathy, and the utmost respect for you and your belongings.
Why should I choose you over others?
Choosing us over others will be easier if we share the same values. BioHoard is more than just a cleaning company. We’re a team of dedicated individuals committed to helping people reclaim their homes and lives. We do this through an empathy-driven approach that is discreet, respectful, and safe.
What areas do you service?
Although we are based in the Windy City, we also serve the entire state of Illinois. If you need services outside of Illinois, we have colleagues who share our values that we can happily recommend for you.
The Process
How discreet will this process be?
We recognize that every situation is unique, and your privacy concerns may vary. That’s why we offer customized solutions to accommodate your specific preferences. Whether it’s scheduling cleanup during off-peak hours or using unmarked vehicles, we’ll work with you to create a plan that ensures discretion and minimal disruption to your life.
Do I need to be present while you clean?
No. We take utmost care and respect for your privacy and property. As such, we only access your property with documented permission from the legally responsible party, and once the scene is completely remediated, it’s entirely your choice whether you want to personally inspect the cleaned space. To ensure transparency and accountability, we’ll ask you to sign a “services rendered” form that serves as a record for both.
How long will it take to clean my home?
Before we step foot on your property, we make sure you have all the information you need. That’s why, unlike some companies, we provide a detailed timeline and estimate before any work begins. This way, you’ll know: exactly how long we expect to be there for the cleaning process, and the number of technicians needed. Now, let’s be honest: some situations require extra care and attention. In severe hoarding cases where an entire house, basement, and garage are filled with personal belongings and debris, we may need to bring in four technicians for up to five days. Get started with an initial assessment now.
Do you take time to sort through items before you remove them?
While biohazard and hoarding cleanup involves thorough sanitization and restoration, we recognize the sentimental treasures and potential monetary value that may lie buried beneath the surface. Before the cleaning begins, we sit down with you to create a personalized list of items you hope to recover. We don’t just clear, we carefully sort and search, ensuring nothing of importance gets discarded or lost. Remember, we want to help you reclaim your space and rediscover the value it holds, one treasured item at a time.
The Finances
How much will your service cost me?
The most asked question thus far. Unfortunately, the answer largely depends on the job at hand and before we can start an estimate, we need to first see the scene or property that needs the work. Rest assured that many times, your homeowner’s insurance will help cover the cost of our services, depending on the situation.
Will your company bill my insurance company?
Dealing with the aftermath of a biohazard situation can be overwhelming, especially when navigating insurance intricacies. That’s where we come in. We’ll take the hassle out of filing claims and ensure you get the coverage you deserve. We’ll directly connect with your insurance agent and advocate for your needs. After carefully assessing your policy and the scope of work, we’ll decipher insurance jargon, outline what’s covered, and address any concerns you might have.
Do you offer self-paid/cash customer discounts?
Yes. We are committed to helping you and accommodating your specific needs as fairly as possible. Contact us so we can see your situation and show what we have to offer.
