My journey to founding BIOHOARD stems from a very personal place. Having struggled with depression throughout my life I intimately understand how overwhelming and debilitating even basic tasks can become. While I was fortunate to have a strong support system that prevented my own space from reaching neglect, I vividly recall wishing for someone to simply lift the immense burden of labor, allowing me to breathe and focus on my own healing. That profound empathy is why in 2023, I decided to formally train in trauma and hoarding cleanup.

BIOHOARD is my vehicle for creating meaningful change, both within homes and across our Chicago community.

BIOHOARD is so much more than an extreme cleaning company; it’s a supportive partner in the journey of healing from trauma. We specialize in transforming spaces that have been impacted by biohazards, hoarding, or neglect, recognizing that these environments are often reflections of deeper struggles. My team and I approach every job with immense care, discretion, and a deep understanding that we’re not just cleaning a house; we’re helping individuals reclaim their dignity, peace, and a safer path forward.
This business is my way of giving back.
My ultimate vision is to grow BIOHOARD to the point of establishing the BIOHOARD Fund. This fund will provide crucial assistance to individuals who lack the resources to reclaim their dwellings after violent traumas, neglect, or disasters, ensuring they too can start their healing journey in a safe space. Beyond our direct services, community care is in our DNA. My son and I are deeply committed to protecting the places we live. We actively engage in local environmental efforts, volunteering with the Chicago Park District for park cleanups (even removing over 300 pounds of trash from the lagoon!) and participating in tree planting events sponsored by Openlands. BIOHOARD is my vehicle for creating meaningful change, both within homes and across our Chicago community.

The Woman Behind Biohazard and Hoarding Cleanup
As a woman, I feel a profound sorority with other women, especially survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. I believe it is my solemn duty to help break generational cycles of abuse, and part of that begins with creating a safe, stable environment.
Part of my vision for the BIOHOARD Fund is to specifically extend its support to these courageous women, offering our specialized cleaning services to help them reclaim their homes—and their lives—after experiencing trauma, ensuring a clean slate for a new beginning. My own spirit is continually uplifted and supported by organizations like Mujeres Latinas en Acción, a lifeline for countless women, including myself, seeking empowerment and community. Their work reinforces my commitment to economic justice, and through BIOHOARD, I am determined to not only provide invaluable services but also to operate with integrity, ensuring fair practices and fostering a just and equitable future for all the women we touch.
Ultimately, I aim to nurture the world—as I do with my son—one action at a time. And I believe I’m halfway there.
